Flotilla/Tree Lighting Postpone to Saturday

Due to expected weather, the Flotilla/Tree Lighting will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Once boat participants have made their rounds along the White Oak River in downtown Swansboro, attention will turn as Santa Clause makes his way to the Pug Pavilion for the annual Tree Lighting.

At dusk, on the Friday after Thanksgiving, gather along Swansboro’s waterfront and watch the spectacular parade of lights down the White Oak River. Music will fill the air and you can enjoy treats, such as funnel cakes, cider, and hot cocoa as you enjoy the lights glimmering off the river. You’ll be amazed by the lights and décor of the boats, and you might even catch a glimpse of Santa Claus! At the end of the parade, Santa disembarks to visit with the children.

2021 Flotilla ---

The Town of Swansboro hosted the annual Swansboro Christmas Flotilla on November 26, 2021. Fourteen vessels lit up the Downtown Swansboro Waterfront with colored lights and themed decorations such as coastal Christmas, mermaids, swans, and traditional Christmas embellishments. Festive Christmas music filled the air, participants sipped hot cocoa, apple cider, and ate sweet treats provided by local non-profit groups. Children shared their Christmas wishes while they visited and took pictures with Santa.  Boaters not only dazzled the community with Christmas Cheer but were judged on their spectacular display of holiday lights. It was a magical evening for all those in attendance.

Thank you to the following businesses who donated cash for our boat prizes:
